The NJSOA, or NJSOLEA, is incorporated in New Jersey as a nonprofit entity under the name
New Jersey Superior Officers Law Enforcement
Association, and our standing as the exclusive employee (labor) organization for hundreds of supervisory law enforcement personnel in several government agencies is duly certified (#RO-77-165 & #AC-2002-7) by the State of New Jersey’s Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC) and recognized by the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations
(OER).
We do in fact engage in fundraising activities. For instance, we host an annual golf outing and help compile a law enforcement directory with the support of members, colleagues, citizens, and the business community. While we no longer participate in residential telephone solicitation, we do seek the generous support of New Jersey businesses. As such, we are registered (#CH0622000) with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs, NJ Department of Law & Public Safety (Attorney General’s Office).
