Let me take this opportunity to welcome you to our recently redesigned website. Several years ago, we disposed of our antiquated system for information dissemination, which was a hard copied newsletter that was mailed to every member's home. This system was both burdensome and expensive. The internet provided desirable time savers in communicating with our members so we implemented our first website.
We've come a long way since then, and have taken this time to evaluate the needs of our membership, as well as the advancements in technology. It has always been my top priority to provide accurate and timely information to our members. A properly informed membership makes for a powerful union. I have instilled this philosophy into the rest of our elected Executive Board. We strive to be a transparent employee organization that acts only in the interest of its members. We act at the will of the membership and will continue to represent our members' interests without question. This is why any information that we have available will be supplied to our members.
As I've stated, it is our priority to communicate effectively with our members. However, we also understand the availability of our website to non-members, and we welcome them as well. For this reason, we've broken the website into several areas, with some accessible only to our members. We hope that our members find the website valuable, and we welcome those non-members that may find useful or interesting information as well.
The website will continue to be a work-in-progress. We will periodically evaluate our needs, and those of our members. If you have any comments or suggestions concerning the website and/or its design, we
